Collection: Shower Diverter Mixers

How a Diverter Works in Your Bathroom

A shower diverter directs water between two outlets within the same setup. This could be an overhead rainhead and a handheld shower, or a bath spout and shower head. Instead of installing separate controls for each outlet, you can use one streamlined fitting to manage the water flow and change between functions.

Choosing a diverter starts with understanding how you want the shower or bath to work. A shower mixer with a diverter typically combines temperature control and outlet selection within one tidy wall plate. Depending on the shower diverter model, a single handle or separate control may operate the internal valve. Some options also feature a textured control that is easy to grip with wet hands. Your plumber will need to check the number of outlets, water pressure and plumbing layout before installation. The Bathroom People can help you understand the different configurations and select a shower diverter that gives you simple, reliable control without adding unnecessary fittings to the wall.

A bath mixer diverter is a useful choice when your bath and shower functions share the same plumbing setup. It allows water to move between the bath outlet and shower head without needing two separate mixers. A bath shower diverter can also keep the finished wall looking cleaner, especially in compact bathrooms where too many controls may make the space feel crowded.

The Bathroom People stocks options from, Felton,, Code and Greens. A Greens diverter mixer offers a premium choice for many local bathroom projects, while the wider collection covers different control styles and price points.
